Mulone/Christopherson Wedding
The Wedding Will Go On!

“We had a great celebration and our wedding couldn't have been better; everything worked out perfectly and we are so happy that we could be married outside on top of Vail Mountain with Michele, Pastor Tommy and all our friends and family! Thanks again Michele.” - Nicole Mulone Christopherson

Having been together for almost 9 years, Nicole Mulone and her fiancé Michael Christopherson viewed their wedding day as a wonderful and long awaited celebration of their love and commitment to each other. They worked with Michele to plan a memorable event that would “wow” their family and friends coming from over 10 states. With endless details involved, the couple was determined that nothing would stop them from enjoying their day on the top of Vail Mountain – not even a last minute twist of fate!

What We Did
Finer Points researched and booked the location, interviewed and selected vendors, and finalized all details related to lodging, agendas, programs, welcome letters, gift baskets and favors. The Mulone/Christopherson wedding day was finally here and the celebration was ready to begin.

The bridal party and guests were transported from their hotel to the base of Vail Mountain where they loaded the gondola to travel to the top of the mountain, an elevation of 10,220 feet. There, guests were escorted to the Wedding Deck with its breathtaking view of Holy Cross Mountain. Then, the weather unexpectedly changed and the gondola had to be shut down due to lightning. The photographer, musicians, videographer, bridal party and family were all in place and ready to begin the ceremony. The only person unaccounted for was the officiant – where was Pastor Tommy?

Michele called Pastor Tommy only to learn he was caught at the bottom of the gondola with no hope of it starting back up anytime soon. The drive to the top of the mountain would take at least 45 minutes, and that would jeopardize the reserved time for the Wedding Deck. They had 2 options: 1) move the guests into the reception location and activate the rain backup plan for the ceremony; or 2) move forward with the ceremony on the Wedding Deck and recruit someone to marry Nicole and Michael. It was Nicole’s dream to be married outside, on the Wedding Deck, overlooking the mountains with Michael, and she was determined to make that happen. So she asked Michele – yep, the wedding coordinator herself – to carry out the ceremony.

Michele didn’t think twice about helping the bride, and got Pastor Tommy on the phone for some suggestions on what to say. At that time, the bride and family were escorted to the Wedding Deck and the ceremony began. Michele performed the ceremony for Nicole and Michael. The guests were welcomed, a prayer of gratitude given, the charge recited, and vows made to each other. They were almost married!!! Just then, Michele saw “someone” from the corner of her eye, and was quick to announce that there was a special surprise: Pastor Tommy had made it to the Wedding Deck just in time to perform the exchange of rings and pronounce Mr. and Mrs. Christopherson to the world.

Ultimately, it was the detailed preparation, quick decision-making and best effort of Michele that made the Mulone/Christopherson wedding happen exactly how the bride and groom had dreamed. The couple will not only remember their special day forever, but they’ll also have an amazing story to tell their kids!

Lampe/Klasnick Wedding
Plan B Was Better Than Plan A!

"We have been married for one week and still can't stop raving about your service. Honestly we could not have done this without you. Your professionalism, attention to detail and ability to just get things done was beyond what we could have ever asked for – and who knew you were so talented at set design and interior decorating as well. We are truly blessed for having met you and would be thrilled to talk with others who are considering using your services. Thanks a thousand times." - Jessica Klasnick

Starting their journey with a fun hike in the mountains and a romantic proposal from Matt, Jessica Lampe and Matt Klasnick wanted their special wedding day to be romantic, fun and memorable.

The ceremony was planned for Flagstaff Mountain Amphitheater, a foothill location with a gorgeous view of Boulder and the Front Range. The guests would arrive and be seated outside for the ceremony, then travel to the Millennium Hotel for the reception. After 5 straight days of rain, which never happens in Colorado, the rehearsal was conducted at Flagstaff Mountain Amphitheater with lots of prayers for a break in the weather for the next day, the wedding day. The old saying “wait 5 minutes and the Colorado weather will be different” wasn’t proving to be true for this couple’s day.

What We Did
The wedding day was here and so was the off-and-on-again rain. Michele advised Jessica that their wedding would be even more memorable and the guests would be more comfortable if the ceremony was moved to the Millennium Hotel covered pavilion. Jessica and the bridesmaids went to work calling their guests to let them know of the revised plan and Michele went to work contacting the vendors and informing them of the changes as well.

The concrete floor covered pavilion with open sides became the foundation of the most romantic ceremony site ever imagined. The altar was constructed with beverage crates – to add height and interest – covered by linens. Candles from the rehearsal dinner and bridal shower were used to decorate and align the white chair aisle path. White ribbon was used to decorate the chair ends and flowers were tossed onto the aisle for color.

Jessica was escorted out to the never-before-seen ceremony site. The bottom of her dress was wet and so were her cheeks with tears as she saw the beautiful ceremony site. The thunder and lightning, candlelight and handsome fiancé created the perfect setting for the wedding she dreamed of: romantic, memorable and fun.

Knowing what Jessica and Matt wanted, Finer Points was able to create an alternative ceremony site unlike any other, just in time for the celebration to begin on time. Clear communication, quick decision making, a great emergency kit, and having the best interest of Jessica and Matt at heart were the perfect recipe for the couple's perfect wedding day!
